GE: supplies Caithness Energy’s Guernsey power station

(CercleFinance.com) – GE Vernova’s Gas Power division today announced the start of commercial operation of Caithness Energy’s GE-powered 1,875 megawatt Guernsey power station in the county of Guernsey in southeastern Ohio.

The Guernsey plant can provide the equivalent of the electricity needed to power approximately 1.4 million American homes.

“We are confident that GE’s equipment will help us turn the challenges of energy transition into an opportunity to reduce carbon emissions in the energy sector,” said Ross D. Ain, chairman of Caithness Energy,

GE will also maintain the facility under a multi-year services agreement for 20 years and provide predictive analytics.
