To celebrate the sixth anniversary of Hyper Light Drifterwhich has moreover exceeded one million copies sold, Heart Machine unveils its successor Hyper Light Breaker. The studio takes advantage of this announcement to present its partnership with Gearbox Publishing to publish this new adventure, located in the universe of Hyper Light. The game is scheduled to launch in early access on Steam for the spring of 2023.
Hyper Light Breaker takes you to discover the Overgrowth, new territory of Hyper Light. Exit the 2D of the first opus of the license. This time, you will be able to explore huge 3D biomes. You will come across a number of monstrous enemies as well as titanic bosses. As you fight, you’ll unlock an arsenal of weapons and items to create a unique build that perfectly matches your playstyle. Your goal is to defeat the mighty King of the Abyss and his mysterious Crowns. And of course, survive.
The adventure rogue-lite will give you the option to play alone or cooperatively with friends online. Between fights, you can also take part in the development of a colony. Your various accomplishments will bring in new characters, each with their own personal story, and permanent upgrades.
