Vidauban is a small town of 12,000 souls located in the department of Var in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region which is on the banks of the Argens. The cultural association Legends & Fantasiesspecializing in events and the promotion of alternative and historical cultures, had therefore launched, last year, the challenge of creating a family festival offering games and content for geeks. Given the success, a second edition naturally imposed itself and it will open its doors on April 1st and 2nd.
The polycultural space of Vidauban will welcome more than 40 exhibitors offering an immersive experience in the field of cosplay, superheroes, video games, pop culture, role-playing activities, fantasy and medieval plus some other surprises. For the first time, a fair will organize a casting to find new creative talents. Indeed, “In search of the new heroes of social networks…” will perhaps make it possible to discover a new headliner on Youtube, instagram or tiktokFor example.
On the guest side, there is something for everyone and it starts with several sizes of TikTok who will be there: Weeds, G of Geek Culture, Amber Ouch, MJ shut up, nihilistic sushi or The 9 Kingdoms.
Three dubbing actors at signings:
- Pascale Chemin: Killua (Hunter x Hunter), Annie (Attack on Titan), Hachi (Nana), Rio (Assassination Classroom) Jane Shepard (Mass effect)
- Philippe Valmont: FRANCO / HARRY OSBORNE, but also Christian BALE / BATMAN
- Emmanuel Karsen: Sean Penn, Norman Reedus, Admiral KIZARU or Ryuk from DeathNote.
Throughout the weekend, indoor and outdoor entertainment is free : wandering, cosplay contest, role-playing games, board games, virtual and mixed reality (VR and XR), retro-gaming tournament, Just Dance, photo booth, conferences, signings and concerts. Our virtual and mixed reality booth will be there with experiences you won’t soon forget. There will also be our simulator on cylinders. You can try the PSVR 2, the HTC Vive XR Elite, the Pico 4, the Quest 2 or even the Meta Quest Pro..
There ticket office is open and the prices are very reasonable with a rate of 6 euros per day or 10 euros for the two days. A VIP ticket, at 14 euros, is also available and gives access to the show 30 minutes before the opening, skip-the-line and surprises. To take advantage of all this, you have to block out April 1 and 2, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., and go browse and have fun at the Salle Polyculturelle de Vidauban.
