It is certainly not yet a question of selling off the news graphics cards GeForce, but any drop in price is still good to take.

Only a few hours ago, Nathan indicated that NVIDIA would soon lower the price of its GeForce RTX 4080. In fact, said card has already undergone a price revision, but not for the same reason.

Countering the Radeon RX 7900s

Previously, we mentioned the GeForce RTX 4080 drop for mid-December. A date that coincides – not at all by chance – with the release of AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX.

The latter are designed to offer performance very close to, if not equivalent to, that of the RTX 4080. Of course, we will be keen to verify this when we test AMD solutions… the doing of AMD.

Still, as explained WCCFTech, NVIDIA seems ready to react. There is no question of paying off his cards, but a small well-felt drop would be in the pipes of the company of Jen-Hsun Huang, boss of NVIDIA.

Readjust European pricing

That said, NVIDIA has already advanced another pawn today. Indeed, while the euro seems to have regained some strength against the dollar, a readjustment of card prices has been announced. Founders Edition.

Since its launch, the GeForce RTX 4090 FE was sold for 1,949 euros. It now costs 1,859, a drop of 90 euros. A little lower, the reduction on the RTX 4080 FE is 70 euros, the card having started at 1,469 euros and ending up today at 1,399 euros.

Note that the latter is currently out of stock, but it is still interesting to see NVIDIA react. Officially, it is impossible to know whether it is a question of taking into account the euro/dollar conversion, the grumbling of users or a bit of both.
