Meta has just announced the arrival of three new generative AI features on WhatsApp, which will further boost your imagination and responsiveness. Clubic reveals them to you.
The world’s most popular messaging application, WhatsApp, this week formalized the upcoming integration of generative AI tools that will revolutionize your discussions. During the Meta Connect 2023 conference, the Californian group unveiled three new AI features which will be tested by certain users in the coming weeks.
Three features that will liven up discussions on WhatsApp
The first feature, called “AI Stickers,” will allow you to create a personalized sticker that represents a thought or idea that you want to bring to the discussion.
The second feature, “Discussions with AI”, will give you the possibility to ask a question to Meta’s artificial intelligences to, for example, obtain more information on a subject, or to start a debate in the group discussion, drawing inspiration from the point of view of the people (several dozen) that Meta has created to respond in an interesting and relevant way.
Finally, the third feature, called “Photorealistic Image Generation”, is perhaps the most impressive. From the imagine command, you can ask AI to generate images representing a place, person or idea that you are thinking of.
Exchanges with AI that Meta will not see
WhatApp, which should soon arrive on iPad, wanted to remind you that personal messages sent to your loved ones cannot be read by anyone else. The AIs will be able to read what is sent to them, in order to be able to respond to it, but Meta confirms that the messages then exchanged between users remain end-to-end encrypted, and that no one can see them.
Regarding the availability and deployment of these tools and the languages that will be offered to users, Meta has not yet communicated a precise date. We will probably know more by the end of the year, with testing expected to begin quickly.
