Shortly after the collaboration between Genshin Impact and Pizza Hut hit the headlines, now Hoyoverse is partnering with a car brand. And not just any, since we are talking about Cadillac here.
Beidou and Kazuha put the turbo
Earlier in the week, Hoyoverse leaked a poster, featuring Beidou and Kazuha in their 31s, with the background gleaming Cadillacs… and their effigy ! Indeed, this partnership between Cadillac and Genshin Impact is for the moment only image. The American automaker is simply parading a handful of its cars with the colors of Genshin Impact characters, but that’s for our beautiful eyes! Don’t expect Cadillac cosmetics in the in-game store, or Cadillac x Genshin models tumbling through car dealerships.
Last year, Cadillac had already made showcases of its cars painted in the colors of Genshin Impact. But the models surfing on the hype of Kazuha and Beidou are very recent.
Automotive and gaming: a well-established love story
For several years now, major automotive brands have shown interest in gaming and esports. In the LEC, as in other major regional League of Legends competitions, several manufacturers have become major circuit and team sponsors. BMW, Mercedes and Kia have, for example, associated their brand image with the competitive spirit of LoL.
