Faced with all the leaks around the game, it seems that the studio behind Genshin Impact please take the lead and forestall some leaks. After giving us a first glimpse of the Sumeru region in the last live presentation of version 2.8 of the game, HoYoverse today publishes a full video where the developers tell us about the Dendro elementthe last element missing from the game, which will therefore enter the version 3.0.
How does the Dendro element work in Genshin Impact?
We didn’t expect to hear about Sumeru again before the release of version 2.8, but obviously the studio wants to counter the leaks by being a little more talkative about the next major game update.
This video shows us unseen scenery in Sumeruwhich will have a very vertical architecture with a large jungle to explore, in particular with the help of the Dendro element, which the Traveler can possess.
This brand new element (at least for playable characters) will allow access to new reactions (aside from Burning), such as:
- Dendro + Hydro = Flowering
- Dendro + Electro = Catalysis
Apart from fighting, the Dendro element can also be used to explore, in particular by growing plants. But these plants may also come into contact with other elements to have various effects.
It is the same for certain monsters, which will be able to transform according to the elements you use in combat. Depending on their transformation, these monsters will give access to different rewards. The Dendro element therefore promises to change things quite a bit in the game.
