There are indeed certain crossovers that we would have liked never to have to contemplate, especially when they mix two universes which ultimately share very little in common. Very recently it is dailyragnvindrs, a Twitter user known to be an avid fan of Diluc, who caused confusion in many minds, by juxtaposing an Animal Crossing New Horizons voice over the Genshin Impact character. The result is chilling.
Why is that so weird?
In this kind of crossover in the second degree, everything is in contrast. The louder it is, the funnier it is. Diluc the Flamboyant is arguably one of the 5-star characters that most marked Genshin Impact veterans. It came out right after Venti, not too long after MiHoYo’s initial game launch. And as much to say that he instantly inspired the fans, with an unfailing charisma. So inevitably, superimposing on this fiery swordsman a voice from Animal Crossing New Horizons, it sounds weird.

miHoYo’s flagship RPG is about to dive into its 2.6 version, which contains a very large number of new features. Players will be able to discover the new Chasm area, and try to sweater Kamisato Ayaka (if there is a 5-star who has a chance to challenge Diluc in terms of charisma, it’s him).
