Considered by many to be a very trying and not necessarily well-designed instance, the Abyss crystallizes a lot of apprehension among Genshin Impact players. On reddit, a man named Chief_LWK published the classification of the most played characters in Tier 12 of the Abyss, on patch 2.5. And even if the redditor insists at length on the fact that this directory should in no way be taken as a radical third list, it gives interesting information to potentially challenge our usual rosters.
Zhongli and Benett: each hero has his own half instance
The dominance of Zhongli and Benett is striking in the standings. 91.7% of players who own Zhongli play him in Abyss 12. For Benett, that stat drops to 78.6%, but is still quite remarkable. This rate of use is completely legitimate, since the two characters are major assets depending on the part of the instance crossed. Benett is the most profitable character to play in the first half of the instance, then he gives way to Zhongli in the second half of the dungeon.
Kazuha fraud?
However, it is almost surprising to see Kazuha so high in the rankings (77.6% of players who own him play him in Abyss 12). Admittedly, the character is good in the first half of the instance, but he weakens for the second. We would have rather imagined Xingqiu or at the limit Shogun on the podium, as these characters are powerful in the Abyss, and able to shine in each part of the level.
Genshin players have an eye for detail. So when an ad for the new iPad Air shows a player literally trolling a boss fight (while pretending the fight is thrilling), the community is quick to point out the crap.
