Hollywood star George Clooney (62) has a very special passion with Italy. Years before he married his partner Amal (45) in Venice in 2014, he put down roots there and invested millions in various properties around Lake Como in Lombardy.

With his wife and their twins Ella and Alexander (6), he is again spending an extended family vacation this summer in his Villa Oleandra in the tranquil little town of Laglio. As reported by Us Weekly magazinehe and his entourage set off on an extended boat tour across Lago di Como last Friday.

The property is just a few meters from the lake and has 25 rooms, tennis courts, a large pool and a garage for George’s vintage motorcycles. Clooney acquired the dream home along with the neighboring Villa Margherita in 2002 and remodeled both properties to suit his preferences.

Over the years, the actor has had countless prominent guests there, including Brad Pitt (59), Matt Damon (52) or Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan (41). In 2004, Clooney even hosted the entire cast of the film “Ocean’s Twelve” in his residences, some scenes of the crime comedy were also filmed there.

The residents of Laglio, a town of 1000 souls, don’t seem to dislike the fact that the Hollywood star keeps bringing a bit of glamor to the place with his presence and his famous guests. In the meantime, Clooney has even been made an honorary citizen and is a member of the local committee for the protection of the lake shore.
