George Clooney has revealed why he often feels inferior to his wife – and how he thinks about the approaching 60th birthday.

George Clooney (59, "The Descendants") revealed in an interview with "Bild am Sonntag" why he sometimes feels inferior to his wife, lawyer Amal Clooney (42). "She's actually way too intelligent for me. We both had Zoom conferences recently. She talked to renowned scientists, I had Howard Stern on my computer and chatted about litter boxes and vodka parties." The actor gets along well with it: "We all often take ourselves too seriously." He much prefers to enjoy time with his family in the corona pandemic.

Movie star will soon be 60

"The good side of this terrible plague: I can put my children to bed every evening and have breakfast with them in the morning." He and his wife also like to make popcorn and watch old Hollywood films together on the sofa.

Despite his alleged inferiority, he was even able to help his wife with her work during lockdown. In December 2020, Amal Clooney had started a hymn of praise for her husband at the presentation of her new book. He was not only patient but also encouraging and inspiring while writing the book, she said. "I really didn't need another example of how great it is, but this process provided one."

Clooney does not want to give up his acting career because his work is just too much fun, Clooney explained to "Bild am Sonntag". The Hollywood darling will be 60 years old on May 6th. He looks calmly towards his birthday: "The gray hair is there, the bones are no longer as flexible as they used to be, but I'm not afraid of the day. I greet him with open arms."

George Clooney has been married to lawyer Amal Clooney since September 2014. The twins Ella and Alexander were born in June 2017.
