George Takei (82, "The Terror") is a true connoisseur of Starfleet Command. Finally, in the 1960s, he played Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu, the helmsman of the Enterprise, in the "Star Trek" series and later in the subsequent films. So he and some fans noticed that Donald Trump's (73) logo for his new space force Space Force is very similar to the Star Trek logo of the Starfleet Command. The US President is now receiving great mockery from Takei on Twitter: the actor makes fun of the logo resemblance in several tweets.
First Takei shared the Space Force logo with the caption: "Um. We expect license fees from this". In a second tweet Takei wrote: "I think Melania (editor's note: Melania Trump, Donald Trump's wife) had a knack for copying this – I mean designing it." He refers to an alleged plagiarism from 2016: Melania Trump (49) is said to have copied a few lines from a speech by former First Lady Michelle Obama (56) in 2008 in a speech.
The "Star Trek" actor also featured in another tweet both logos side by side. "There is nothing sacred anymore," he wrote. George Takei was far from the only one who noticed the resemblance. Numerous fans also mocked on social media about the new Space Force logo, which Donald Trump had officially launched on Friday.
