Lhe President of the Republic recently delivered a speech in Toulon on France’s strategic environment and the directions he drew from it in the face of the growing threats to our security. More than the war in Ukraine, it is the return of the rivalry between the great and medium powers which requires us to redouble our strategic vigilance. The decisions that will be taken will commit the country for the decades to come due to the duration of the armament programs; they will inevitably correspond to difficult trade-offs between different options given a budgetary context that is still constrained. The subject is too important to be settled in a few paragraphs, but I would like to ask a few questions in this regard which I am sure will raise…
