L’enthronement in Jerusalem of a new government which brings together the right and the extreme right gives me the opportunity to return to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I have devoted many years to this subject during my diplomatic career, which has taken me, in particular, twice to our embassy in Tel Aviv, the second time as ambassador, but I have so far avoided dealing with it here because it arouses such inflamed passions and opposes narratives so opposed that any serene dialogue becomes almost impossible.
