The producers of the action film “Olympus Has Fallen” allegedly owe Gerard Butler at least ten million dollars.

Did the makers of the action flick “Olympus Has Fallen – The World in Danger” cheat on the lead actor Gerard Butler (51)? The Hollywood star claims in a lawsuit filed on Friday that the producers owe him at least ten million dollars, the equivalent of about 8.4 million euros. This is what the industry magazines report “Deadline” and “Variety”.

Film grossed $ 170 million

This amount should at least be due to him as a share after the success at the box office. The film had grossed more than $ 170 million worldwide, around 143 million euros. The lawsuit says, among other things, that the producers made millions, but allegedly refused to give Butler a stake in accordance with a previous agreement.

The actor has contributed his part to a successful franchise, it is said. That is why he demands his “fair share”. Butler first appeared as Mike Banning in the 2013 action blockbuster Olympus Has Fallen. Two more parts of the series followed later with “London Has Fallen” (2016) and “Angel Has Fallen” (2019).
