Already indicted for rape, Gérard Depardieu is the target of a new complaint for sexual assault, sexual harassment and sexist outrages filed a few days ago in Paris. The information was revealed by Mediapart and confirmed by the plaintiff’s lawyer to AFP.
The file of complaints against Gérard Depardieu has been growing in recent days after the revelations of Mediapart. In an interview with AFP, Me Carine Durrieu Diebolt, the plaintiff’s lawyer, confirmed the complaint filed a few days ago by an overall decorator. She worked with Gérard Depardieu. The facts date back to 2021. The victim, named Amélie and now aged 53, delivered a damning story for the actor whom she accuses of having held gritty remarks and to have it sexually assaulted. Accusations which complement those of the actress Charlotte Arnould, alleged victim of a rape which led, in December 2020, to the indictment of the sacred monster of French cinema.
According to the story reported by Mediapartthe complainant would accuse Gérard Depardieu of having “caught with brutality“and from him “having kneaded the waist and stomach going up to her breasts“. A scene which would have occurred on the set, in Paris, of the film Green Shutters by Jean Becker. It would be Gérard Depardieu’s own bodyguards who allegedly interrupted the actor in full action. And according to the investigation site, Amélie is not the only person present on this film set to make these types of accusations. Sarah, the third assistant director of this filmclaims that the actor would have “touched the chest and buttocks“ twice in August 2021. Facts which are not prescribed according to Me Durrieu-Diebolt who confirmed the complaint of her client, the interior designer, to AFP.
Complaints pile up against Gérard Depardieu
This complaint would not be the first against the hero of Cyrano de Bergerac in 2024. According to West Francea young woman has also filed a complaint last January against the actor for facts dating from 2014 on the filming of Magician and the Siamese directed by Jean-Pierre Mocky. The alleged victim, who was an assistant on the set, accuses Gérard Depardieu of having uttered obscene remarks and to have him touched the buttocks during a meeting about the film at his home. The actor and his entourage have not yet reacted to his new complaints.
