Gérard Depardieu is in the eye of the storm. On December 16, the famous actor was indicted for rape and sexual assault after a complaint from actress Charlotte Arnould. As a reminder, the latter spoke out in August 2018 to denounce two rapes which allegedly occurred at the Parisian home of Gérard Depardieu. More recently, the actor, who benefits from the presumption of innocence, also is the subject of a number of Further investigation which makes a lot of noise. During the program, which exclusively revealed images filmed during a trip to North Korea in 2018, we could hear Gérard Depardieu making sexist and particularly inappropriate comments. From, many personalities have spoken out to condemn the actor’s behavior.
Conversely, some close to the actor want to defend him against all odds. The proof ? According to the revelations of Parisianthis Friday, December 22, a petition would be prepared in the greatest secrecy to support him. A document which should see the light of day in the coming days and which Dominique Besnehard, the film producer, is ready to sign, as he revealed during an interview with our colleagues. “With time, it became heavier, more Rabelaisian, with less funny and more provocative language. But from there to what he rapes, I have doubts, for the good reason that despite his painful physique [sic] and disproportionate, he is a feminine man”, he revealed to our colleagues.

Thursday December 21, Gérard Depardieu received the support of one of his former companies, Carole Bouquet. Guest on the show Dailybroadcast on TMC, the mother of Dimitri Rassam made a rant against the actor’s detractors. “I have a real problem with what is happening with Gérard at the moment”she blurted out, furious. “I am happy that all women can speak. But on the other hand, this media tribunal continues and it has been going on for months and This is killing a man, I can’t stand it!“ she added, specifying that Gérard Depardieu “could be capable of being rude” and to have “extraordinary and sometimes borderline humor”. “I lived with him for ten years, I know who Gérard is, with or without alcohol. I know Gérard’s demons. He is incapable of doing violence to a woman“she concluded.
