And if you offered yourself the home of Gérard Depardieu ? At 73, the French cinema legend can boast of being at the head of an important real estate heritage. Indeed, the actor first of all owns the castle of Tigné in the Loire Valley, as well as a private mansion in Paris, estimated at nearly 50 million euros. The actor, who is also a great lover of works of art and cars, is also the owner of a magnificent house in Belgium, from which he nevertheless wishes to part.
The villa, nicknamed “White Cloud” (White Cloud in French) is located in Néchin, in the town of Estainpuis, on the Franco-Belgian border. The building was built in the 1920s, and spans almost 350m² of living space. It involves five spacious bedroomsa big living room, a bar and an dining room. Each room has a well-defined style (modern, vintage, total marble look, etc.) and has access to a private bathroom.
A villa at a bargain price
Gérard Depardieu acquired the villa in 2013 for the tidy sum of 1.2 million euros. Unfortunately for him, he never had the opportunity to live there. This is why he had decided to transform the house into a guest house to try to make it profitable. Travelers could thus afford a night in one of the establishment’s five rooms from 145 euros per night. But all this did not last because the French actor finally decided to put his Belgian villa up for sale. However, he seems to have a lot of trouble finding a buyer because he was forced to sell off the price of the property to sell it. just under 500,000 euros.
