About 200 meters below the summit of the Wildkarspitze (3076 meters), a 59-year-old ski tourer from Germany deposited his skis on Thursday afternoon and continued on foot. On the descent, however, the man could no longer find his equipment. After around 1.5 hours of the unsuccessful search, the athlete gave up completely exhausted and made an emergency call.
A little later he was rescued by the police helicopter and flown into the valley. The man is unharmed.
