The German Film Prize will be awarded in Berlin on May 3rd. Seven hosts will moderate the awards ceremony.

A moderation ensemble will be at German Film Awards provide momentum. The awards ceremony on May 3rd in Berlin will be moderated by a team of seven celebrities. The actresses Jasna Fritzi Bauer (35), Margarita Broich (63), Gizem Emre (28) and Ivy Quainoo (31) as well as the actor Jürgen Vogel (55) lead the evening together. There are also the moderators Tobias Krell (38) and Aurel Mertz (34). The first broadcasts the event live in the media library at 7:30 p.m. and then on linear television at 10:20 p.m.

In the press release The artistic directors Samira El Ouassil and Lars Jessen justify the decision to have several presenters with the desire to make unity, diversity and teamwork visible on stage. “It was important to us to celebrate the solidarity of creative people and to show that the film industry sticks together, especially against reactionary and anti-democratic forces,” it says. A winner of the German Film Prize has already been chosen

The German Film Prize is awarded in a total of 19 categories. These include “Best Feature Film”, “Best Director” and “Best Female Lead”. One of the winners has already been determined. In 2024, the makers of the film “The Three ??? – Heir of the Dragon” will be able to take home the Golden Lola for the “Most Visitor Film”. Director Tim Dünschede’s film about the three detectives attracted over 1.6 million viewers to the cinemas.

The German Film Prize has been awarded since 1951. It is considered the most prestigious award in the field of German film. With a total of almost 3 million euros, it is also the most valuable cultural prize in this country.
