A 49-year-old who was seriously injured in a skiing accident in the Tyrolean Hochoetz on Sunday is currently being treated in the Innsbruck clinic. After colliding with an edge marking, he fell over the runway and had to be transported by helicopter.

The accident happened around 1:40 p.m. in the Hochoetz ski area. The 49-year-old skier was on slope number 11 when he crashed into a piste edge marking. The man then fell over the edge of the runway, overturning several times. Eventually he stopped about 15 meters below the runway. Deaf rescue by helicopter The runway rescue service took over the first aid for the seriously injured. The man was then rescued by the helicopter using a rope and flown to the clinic in Innsbruck.
