Ukrainian-Nigerian journalist Karolina Ashion, who fled her country for Germany after the start of the Russian invasion, now presents “Ukraine Update”, a daily newscast on German channel N-TV. Ten minutes of information in Ukrainian for the 200,000 refugees who have arrived in the country.

If it is mainly aimed at refugees, it is because Karolina Ashion’s diary is kept in the Ukrainian language and tells the news and the political situation of the country they were forced to flee. Ukraine Update is also available on N-TV’s online platforms and on its YouTube channel. The German channel said it wanted to hire even more Ukrainian journalists in the coming days.
