suk. In Lower Saxony, two cars belonging to people who fled Ukraine were daubed with the Z symbol. The Z was sprayed on the windshields on Monday night, the police said on Tuesday (March 29). Since the beginning of the war of aggression, a white Z has often been seen on Russian tanks and uniforms. What the Z stands for exactly is unclear. Despite this, the sign has become a symbol of consent to Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

The owners of the cars, a 24-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man from Ukraine, are currently housed in a former senior center in the Hildesheim district, it said. Criminal proceedings were initiated for damage to property and for the initial suspicion of rewarding and approving crimes. Several federal states had already announced that they would take action against the symbol of aggressive war. Up to three years imprisonment or a fine are possible.
