Kahn’s brother criticizes disrespectful FC Bayern

Axel Kahn jumps to his brother’s side and defends him. Oliver Kahn’s departure from Bayern Munich was disrespectful. In Germany, you always manage to destroy your icons. Axel Kahn believes that the disempowerment was planned well in advance.
Axel Kahn criticized FC Bayern Munich after his brother Oliver left. “We are currently on a path that is not good. I’m not talking about myself, but about FC Bayern Munich. Enough dirty laundry has been washed. I think the measures that have been taken and how they were decided very disrespectful,” said Axel Kahn in the Sky interview.
The separation of sports director Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidžić became public on Saturday shortly after winning the German soccer championship. Such a decision is not made overnight. “Something like this was definitely worked out beforehand. People thought early on about how to replace Oliver Kahn. I would have liked Oliver to be informed earlier, maybe even a month, two, three months before we sat down and says ok we don’t like it and we want to break up in the summer.”
Generations would clash in Kahn and Honorary President Uli Hoeneß, who had described Kahn’s commitment as a sports director as a mistake in “Kicker”. “Oliver Kahn wanted to do things as he sees fit, Uli Hoeneß just didn’t. Alpha animals collide, who then perhaps behave incorrectly and things come about as it just happened,” said Axel Kahn.
“We always manage to destroy our icons in Germany: Boris Becker, Michael Schumacher and whatever their names are,” said Axel Kahn, now it was his brother’s turn: “Oliver was dragged through the dirt for months, every decision was made for him . That’s too much. The colleagues at Sky, Mr. Matthäus, Fjörtoft and so on: These are things that just don’t work that way. We have to have a bit more respect overall and see that we process it differently.”
