Germany: estimated inflation accelerating in June


(CercleFinance.com) – The inflation rate in Germany, measured as the change in the consumer price index (CPI) compared to the same month a year earlier, should be +6.4% in June , according to Destatis who had reported a rate of +6.1% for the previous month.

Excluding the two usually volatile categories of food and energy, the inflation rate qualified as ‘underlying’ should be +5.8% over the month that is ending, again marking an acceleration after +5.4% in May.
