BERLIN, April 6 (Reuters) – Industrial orders in Germany fell more than expected in February due to weaker foreign demand, official statistics showed on Wednesday.

Supply difficulties, soaring energy prices and uncertainty related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine also dampened manufacturing activity.

Factory orders fell by 2.2% in February in seasonally adjusted data, after an increase of 2.3% (revised upwards) in January, according to data from the Federal Statistical Office .

The Reuters consensus was for a 0.2% drop month-on-month.
