Germany increasingly dependent on Chinese Huawei

According to the latest report from Strand Consult, a Danish telecommunications consultancy, Germany is even more dependent on the Chinese company Huawei in the development of its 5G network than it was for its 4G. 59% of infrastructure is developed by Huawei, compared to 57% for 4G.

In France, 17% of the infrastructures were produced by the Chinese company. A law had also been passed in 2021 to protect French interests in defense and security.
