Germany: Industrial production drops slightly in November

BERLIN (Reuters) – Industrial production in Germany fell slightly in November, according to official data released on Friday, reflecting the German economy’s struggles in the face of persistent supply chain bottlenecks as well as restrictions set up to contain the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

According to the Federal Statistical Office, industrial production fell 0.2% in November, against an increase of 2.4% (revised figure) in October.

Economists polled by Reuters were forecasting a 1.0% month-over-month increase.
