The jury for “DSDS” 2022 is in the starting blocks. The castings are soon waiting for Florian Silbereisen, Ilse DeLange and Toby Gad.
New start for “Germany is looking for the superstar”: veteran Dieter Bohlen (67) has left the jury of the casting show, but Florian Silbereisen (39) comes to his chair for the 19th season. Together with the pop star, Ilse DeLange (44) and Toby Gad (53) are looking for Germany’s new superstar. The new jurors will soon be deployed, as “RTL.de” now reports.
On July 16, the “DSDS” team is on their way to Saxony-Anhalt to take a close look at the talents in historic Wernigerode. In addition, the jury will then stop in the Bavarian ducal city of Burghausen. The online castings and the dates for the open castings for “DSDS” 2022 have already expired. However, there will be another possibility to apply, it says on “RTL.de”.
The city of Wernigerode informed about the shooting on her Instagram account. From July 16, the sets will be set up on the market square and on Nicolaiplatz. “The hustle and bustle around the shooting will accompany the city until July 28, 2021. (…) In January 2022, Wernigerode will be seen in ten episodes of the casting show across Germany,” the post said.
This is the new “DSDS” jury
For “Traumschiff” captain and pop star Florian Silbereisen, “DSDS” is not entirely new territory: In March 2020, he helped out as a juror at the live shows. The singer and “Let’s Dance” participant Ilse DeLange is a big star in her home country – her debut album “World of Hurt” reached first place in the charts in 1998. She has now released ten studio albums, six of which topped the charts in the Netherlands. Music producer and songwriter Toby Gad started music at the age of four and has written around 2,000 songs in his “adult career” and worked with numerous international stars.
