The upcoming live shows of "DSDS" will not be moderated by Alexander Klaws. Oliver Geissen will take over this job instead.

"Deutschland sucht den Superstar" will start shortly with the live shows in the semi-finals. The semifinals on March 27th and the final on April 3rd – in the blower hall complex of the Duisburg Landscape Park – will not be moderated by Alexander Klaws (37, "For all times") in 2021, as RTL announced. Instead, the station relies on Oliver Geissen (51) as the moderator.

Klaws wants to focus on family

"This year I want to concentrate fully on the music and my family," explains Klaws on the RTL website. According to Jan Westphal, Head of Producer, they are pleased that Geissen is taking on the task and leading through the semi-finals and finals. "Oli is loyal to the format, and that is why we are looking forward to his return for the 18th birthday of 'DSDS'", said Westphal.

Until the two live shows, fans can still follow the international recall on Mykonos – always on Saturdays from 8:15 p.m. In the upcoming "DSDS" edition on March 6th, 23 candidates are still fighting for entry into the final shows.
