Michael Wendler is removed from the already wacky "DSDS" episodes. On Tuesday, the ex-juror was further made unrecognizable.

RTL cuts the former "DSDS" juror Michael Wendler (48) after "completely unsustainable statements" from episodes of the show that have already been shot. Similar to the previous edition of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar", in which Wendler was roughly retouched for the first time, the singer, who had caused a stir with conspiracy theories, was also removed from the episode on January 12th.

RTL removed scenes in which Wendler would have been seen, apparently partly completely. In other scenes, however, something made unrecognizable could be seen – also in close-up. Part of the sound has also been removed, and speech bubbles have been displayed. However, recordings of the jury without Wendler were preferred – by Dieter Bohlen (66), Maite Kelly (41) and Mike Singer (20, "Karma").

"No more forum"

Before the new round in the fight for the recall note – and after the advertisement – RTL showed another explanation in which it said that the program had already been recorded last year. After filming was over, a juror "spread conspiracy theories and we ended our further collaboration. With the broadcast of the first episode of 'DSDS', the juror once again publicly disseminated completely unsustainable statements. That's why we decided to cut him out of the casting series. We condemn all forms of anti-Semitism, racism and discrimination in the strongest possible terms. "

Jörg Graf, managing director of RTL, had previously stated that the consequences would be processed "in a very short time and very radically and with various measures". This leads to "significant, sometimes dramaturgical breaks; but above all to visual 'errors' that do not meet our standards and our demands." We apologize to the fans for this, but accept such mistakes, because in the foreground is "that the juror (…) no longer gets a forum and is no longer allowed in a program that only stands for a good mood see is ".
