The finale of the casting show “Germany is looking for the superstar” has found its main characters. These four artists are fighting for the title.

The finale is: Before the eyes of the last two remaining original jurors of this season, Mike Singer (21, “Deja Vu”) and Maite Kelly (41), as well as spontaneous juror Thomas Gottschalk (70) sang these four artists into the last round: Jan-Marten Block (25), Karl Jeroboan (30), Kevin Jenewein (27) and Starian McCoy (19) will win the talent show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (“DSDS”) among themselves.

The “DSDS” final will take place again next Saturday (April 3rd) in the blower hall complex in the Duisburg Landscape Park and will be broadcast live on RTL and TVNow from 8:15 pm.

And how was Thomas Gottschalk?

Thomas Gottschalk stepped in for Dieter Bohlen (67), who was temporarily ill and who was quitting anyway. He did his job well, although the Bohlen fans would of course have preferred to see him, which they among other things on the “DSDS” Instagram page proclaimed: “Without Dieter it won’t be the same as it used to be today,” read or “Without me. Without Dieter, no DSDS. Just watched because of him” and “Without Dieter, DSDS is no fun”.

But there were also other voices: “Gottschalk will fix it, he knows a lot about music,” wrote a follower. In addition to stories about his own meetings with music stars during his long career, “Tommy”, as presenter Oliver Geissen (51) called his legendary colleague, also had good advice ready for the candidates. “Stay vigilant in the showbiz shark tank,” said Gottschalk and “don’t let anything talk you into it” or “don’t cling to your feet, enjoy”.

Online casting for 2022 has started

After 20 years, the “DSDS” jury will be completely new for the first time in the coming season (broadcast in 2022). The broadcaster announced this a few days ago. Accordingly, Pop-Titan Bohlen will hand over the jury scepter “to strong successors who will be announced in time for the coming season”. The application portal for the online casting of the 19th season is already open. Anyone who wants to be there can at RTL.de for the “pre-casting”that is not being broadcast on the program.
