BERLIN (Reuters) – The German government has set up a holding company with a view to a possible nationalization of Gazprom Germania, the German energy subsidiary of Gazprom from which the Russian state gas giant withdrew in April, German newspaper Welt reported on Sunday. am Sonntag.

The Bundesnetzagentur (BNetzA) announced in April that it would take over the operations of Gazprom Germania in the interests of Germany and Europe.

The holding company created by Berlin, called Securing Energy for Europe Holding GmbH (SEEHG), is in charge of the company’s investments, reports the Welt am Sonntag, citing a government document.
