The morale of German entrepreneurs improved more than expected in April, shows a survey published Wednesday by the Ifo institute.
The business climate index came in at 89.4, compared to a Reuters consensus of 88.8 and up from the revised 87.9 recorded in March.
The component measuring the change in business leaders’ expectations rose from 87.7 (revised) in March to 89.9 in April, compared to a forecast of 88.7.
The component of business leaders’ judgment on their current business conditions is almost stable at 88.9, compared to 88.1 in March.
