Special broadcasts for the Bundestag election on TV and stream
Germany will elect a new line-up to the Bundestag in Berlin on Sunday.

Germany chooses. Interested parties can watch live on TV and stream how the race for the last votes ends. What’s going on where.
The general election on Sunday will bring Germany a new government. After 16 years under Chancellor Angela Merkel (67), a turning point is imminent in the Federal Republic. The media attention is gigantic, there are special reports on television all day. These are the most important formats.
ARD
When the polling stations close at 6 p.m. and the first forecasts have been made, voters can follow this on numerous programs: In the first, the hot phase of the election evening begins at 5:15 p.m. Tina Hassel, Ingo Zamperoni and Jörg Schönenborn will be live on the air until the “Tagesschau” at 8 pm. Immediately afterwards, at 8:15 pm, the “Berlin Round” begins with the party leaders and the top candidates of the parties represented in the Bundestag. Rainald Becker and Peter Frey will moderate the elephant group until 9:15 p.m.
After a “Tagesthemen Extra” at 9:15 pm, “Anne Will” takes over the political events on ARD from 9:30 pm and discusses the election results with other top staff from the major parties. Interested parties can view all of these formats live via stream in the ARD media library follow.
ZDF
The second begins reporting on the federal election at 5:00 p.m. Bettina Schausten will guide the audience through the election evening until 7:00 p.m. before sending them to the “heute” news with Christian Sievers. From 7.30 p.m., ZDF and Bettina Schausten will be devoting themselves to the election results in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Under the title “New Start for Germany”, RTL will go into election evening from 5:00 p.m. Pinar Atalay and Peter Kloeppel will moderate until 6:45 pm, then “RTL Aktuell” will provide the news overview. Atalay and Kloeppel will be back from 7:05 p.m. and will remain on the air until 10:15 p.m. as planned. Afterwards, the election day on RTL ends with an issue of “Spiegel TV”. Sat 1

Specialized and regional channels
All regional public broadcasters also offer special programs to choose from: In WDR, reporting begins at 5:30 p.m. with Catherine Vogel and Michael Dietz, and from 6:45 p.m. there is a “Current Hour” with Susanne Wieseler and Martin von Mauschwitz. Vogel and Dietz will be on the air again until the “Tagesschau” at 8pm. On his homepage the WDR also offers a live stream.
This also applies to the online service of Bayerischer Rundfunk, which goes on air from 5:15 p.m. with “BR24 Wahl – The Decision”. The SWR will be broadcast live at 5:45 p.m. With a focus on Saarland and Baden-Württemberg, Südwestrundfunk reports on the federal election all evening until 9.45 p.m. – via the ARD media library Citizens can also tune in via stream.
