In just one week, the 2024 European Football Championship will take place in Germany. On the way there, the German national team will play two test matches. One of them was against Ukraine on Monday, the last one this Friday evening against Greece. The duel will be broadcast from Borussia Park in Mönchengladbach from 8:45 p.m.
The German national team’s first friendly match against Ukraine ended in a 0-0 draw. Several top-class chances were defused by Benfica professional Anatoliy Trubin and Julian Nagelsmann’s team also revealed some weaknesses in their own defense. But that doesn’t seem to dampen the good mood. In the final dress rehearsal, they will now play at home against Greece.
The Greeks are not taking part in the European Championship after a disappointing playoff final. After 120 minutes without a goal, they went to a penalty shootout against Georgia, which the Georgians could win. A win for Germany in this heavily favored friendly would be significant in view of the first group match against Scotland.
