Germany will donate 37 million euros for the reconstruction of Ukraine

BERLIN, April 22 (Reuters) – Germany is to pay a further 37 million euros to Ukraine to help its post-war reconstruction, German newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine reported on Friday, citing German development ministry sources.

About 22.5 million euros will be devoted to the reconstruction of the Ukrainian electricity network and 14.4 million euros will be intended for the reconstruction of apartments attacked by Russian forces and the purchase of medical equipment, according to the newspaper.

“My minister has reallocated funds for this through an emergency programme,” said Development Minister Svenja Schulze. (Report Riham Alkousaa; French version Camille Raynaud)
