“GNTM” candidate Jasmin is so dissatisfied with her new makeover that she simply has it changed behind Heidi’s back.

“It’s going to be radical, unconventional and colorful”: These are sentences that the young models on “Germany’s next top model” (Thursdays, 8:30 p.m., ProSieben) really don’t want to hear, especially before the makeover episode. Heidi Klum (48) says it anyway. Freshly landed in Los Angeles with the young model, eight of the women are driven straight to the makeover without warning.

“I’m freaking out inside”

Vanessa (20) is hit the hardest. She, with long, brown hair, rather inconspicuous, suspects evil when Heidi tells her that she will “stand out” in the future. All the guns are rolled out for this: Vanessa first gets a bob cut, then a pony, then her hair is bleached and finally dyed: bright green. “Inside I freaked out,” said Vanessa. “Nah, well that’s really… disgusting.” Lieselotte (66) tries to comfort: “Now you’re no longer 0815, now you’re special!” When she sees herself in the mirror for the first time, she is certain: “As soon as I get home, I will definitely go to a hairdresser.”

Luca (19) is the first top model candidate ever to get a perm. Noëlla (24) has her hair cut even shorter and dyed purple. Thanks to her transformation into Megan Fox (35), Sophie (18) is in seventh heaven with herself and is happy to give up her “blonde personality” for it.

Jasmin makes the world how she likes it

For Jasmin (23), Heidi has a “look like Naomi Campbell” in mind – this includes long, straight hair down to the bottom. To do this, you need to take off your braids and get a wig. Heidi even has it extended again. “I know it’s not cheap, but I want my models to look perfect,” emphasizes the 48-year-old. Unfortunately, that’s not Jasmin’s taste at all. She snaps at her fellow contestants and admits she’s “a little pissed off”. “It just didn’t look natural!” Finally, she makes a momentous decision: she goes back to the stylist on her own and has the wig shortened behind Heidi’s back.

The reactions of friends and family to the new styles were sometimes more enthusiastic: “You look a bit older now,” says Sophie’s mother about her jet-black hair. Luca’s friend reacts to her perm with the words: “What the fuck. It looks so strange”, and is therefore the new “Honey”. Surprisingly, Vanessa’s friend reacts with genuine enthusiasm to her green hair: “It really suits you! I really like it!”

“Disrespectful” action

But whoever stays or goes is decided by the walk anyway. In front of Sarina Nowak (28) as a guest juror, the women on the catwalk, which this time is an eyeshadow palette, can get creative with the motto “Woke up like this”. Risen from a powder compact, they should show three poses in the course of the catwalk. For some, the creativity goes a bit too far: Barbara (68) crawls a little gracefully onto the stage and poses as if she were in a yoga class. With two crying eyes, Heidi has to say goodbye to the oldest “GNTM” candidate of all time with a heavy heart.

Jasmine, however, gets in real trouble – not only because of her bumpy walk. Heidi can’t believe that she had her wig shortened by almost 30 centimeters on her own. “I thought something about the look!” The model mom explains in horror. And makes it clear to Jasmin: “Your wig cost 7,000 euros!” Nowak, who once started the show herself, thinks: “Disrespectful”. After her performance was not convincing either, Jasmin is out. After all, with a very expensive human hair wig.
