Heidi Klum will contest the final of the 16th “GNTM” season alone. In the live show, she makes the final decision without a guest judge.

Also this year, the corona pandemic has an impact on the live finale of “Germany’s next top model” (Thursday, May 27th from 8:15 pm). For the first time, Heidi Klum (47) will make the decision without a guest juror. ProSieben announced this on Wednesday.

Special situations required special measures and that includes “that the safety of the girls and that of the team come first”, Klum explains in a statement the special end of the 16th season, which, according to ProSieben, was the most successful season for twelve years . Even if the finale can only be celebrated in a small group, “I am sure that it will be an unforgettable evening. And the audience will celebrate with us from home,” emphasizes the model mom.

These highlights are waiting in the final

After a dancing show opening, the four finalists Alex (23, Cologne), Dascha (21, Solingen), Romina (21, Cologne) and Soulin (20, Hamburg) will transform themselves into superheroes at the first final walk. As they walk the catwalk, they are supported by their families and friends via TV screens in the studio. A performance by the “Top 20” candidates also had to be canceled due to the corona pandemic. A positive corona test among the girls thwarted the plans.

The musical act in the finale includes Tokio Hotel and Vize, who contributed the season’s theme song with “White Lies”. In the final, they will perform their song “Behind Blue Eyes” for the first time and shoot the music video with the finalists. Hamburg’s shooting star Zoe Wees (19) will also appear. At the end of the day, it will turn out who can be seen on the cover of the German “Harper’s Bazaar” and win an Opel Mokka and a prize of 100,000 euros.

In 2020 the “GNTM” winner was chosen in the absence of Klum

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Klum was not physically present at the final live show for the first time in 2020, but was switched on via a screen from Los Angeles to Berlin. Star photographer Christian Anwander represented Heidi Klum as a presenter in the live show in Berlin. In the end, Jacky Wruck (22) made the race.
