“Get out of debt” will return in October 2021. The fans have to do without the cult debt advisor Peter Zwegat.

In a few weeks RTL will be relaunching its former format “Get out of debt”. As the broadcaster has now officially announced, the show will start this month, more precisely on October 25th from 8:15 p.m., with a first pilot episode. However, viewers will not be able to look forward to a return from Peter Zwegat (71), who achieved cult status as a TV debt advisor with a flipchart.

In his place, Stilianos Brusenbach will do his best to help the candidates out of their financial needs. Brusenbach is not only a graduate economist and debtor and tax advisor, but also a father of three. As such, he will also provide emotional support to his TV clients and help out as a pastor where necessary.

Pilot episode with two families

The prelude shows Brusenbach’s work “over several months” with two families who each owe almost 50,000 euros. Unemployment and illness are the main reasons for their financial difficulties.

In 139 episodes and several specials, Peter Zwegat helped private individuals to reduce their mountains of debt from 2007 to 2015. Including Nadja Abd el Farrag (56), who used his services in a celebrity issue in 2016.
