Back to school is fast approaching and parents' concerns are growing. In the current epidemic context, many fear an increase in contamination with this return to class. A fact which seems inevitable, for Professor Jean-François Delfraissy, president of the scientific council. "There will be contaminations at school, but we will manage them", he declared on France Info. Before explaining that there will be a rapid screening at the slightest suspicion. “Children are carriers of the virus, but in small quantities. Serious forms are, moreover, exceptional ", he concluded.

Interviewed on France Inter on Wednesday August 26, Jean Castex was reassuring to him. The Prime Minister assured that everything had been put in place to welcome the students in the best conditions. “Put your child in school. We owe you safety for your child. And we are ready ”, he declared at the microphone of the morning. The government number one, however, confirmed that mandatory masks for children over 11 would not be provided by the state.

This afternoon, Jean-Michel Blanquer will give him a press conference concerning the start of the school year. In particular, the Minister of National Education must comment on the health protocol put in place in the establishments.
