(CercleFinance.com) – Getlink, parent company of Channel Tunnel operator Eurotunnel, announces that its Shuttle Freight transported 121,668 trucks last month, an increase of 22% compared to February 2021, driven by a favorable base effect.
For its part, Le Shuttle transported 105,568 passenger vehicles, a number more than tripled in annual comparison (+238%) with heavy traffic observed on the occasion of departures on winter holidays, thus reinforcing the upward trend of recent month.
Since January 1, more than 235,000 trucks and more than 172,000 passenger vehicles have crossed the Channel on board Eurotunnel shuttles, traffic up by 29% and 121% respectively compared to the first two months of 2021.
