(Boursier.com) — getlink publishes its shuttle traffic figures for the month of April 2023. Over the month, Le Shuttle Freight transported 98,737 trucks (-23% year-on-year). The comparison with 2022 is impacted by an exceptional base effect linked to the cessation of P&O operations in the Strait in April 2022 following the massive dismissal of their British sailors. Since January 1, more than 420,000 trucks (-17% compared to last year) have crossed the Channel aboard the Shuttles. Le Shuttle transported 214,973 passenger vehicles in April 2023, an increase of 5% compared to April 2022. With more than 602,000 passenger vehicles transported since January 1, Le Shuttle Shuttle traffic has grown by 21% compared to the same period last year. The publication of traffic figures for the month of May will take place on Thursday 8 June.
