(CercleFinance.com) – Getlink announces that its Shuttle transported 203,296 passenger vehicles in June, up 288% over one year, driven by holiday departures for the British half-term and the festivities linked to the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
The transport infrastructure group adds that its Shuttle Freight circulated 125,672 trucks last month in the Channel Tunnel, an increase of 9% compared to June 2021.
Since January 1, more than 872,000 passenger vehicles and nearly 767,000 trucks have crossed the Channel aboard the shuttles, numbers up 247% and 19% respectively compared to the first six months of last year.
