The Prince of Persia game, which was released in 1989 on Apple II, can be (re) discovered directly in your browser, thanks to emulation.
If you’ve been in the 90s, you might have played Prince of persia. Released in 1989, the game marked a whole generation of players. How long have we been able to spend at the CDI, at the time of the college, to move the hero in this exotic setting in 2D? Undoubtedly too much afternoon. But it left lasting memories.

The site is recent: it only recently appeared on the net, according to the Internet Archive. Alexis Kauffmann, the founder of Framasoft, was talking about it December 28.
It should be noted that the adaptation of the game in JavaScript makes it possible to cheat easily, by moving the variables in the URL. It is possible to change level by moving the “level =” parameter, to add health points with “health =” or to modify the time (“time”) and the force (“strength”). But that takes the spice out of the adventure a bit.

Prince of persia is a game available for a long time in emulation: for example, it was reported in 2015 that 2,300 video games for MS-DOS were made available by the same organization, Internet Archive, so that they could be launched within its web browser – Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, Opera, Brave and Vivaldi are notably supported.
In 2012, the source code of Prince of persia from 1989 was published on GitHub, but without a free license. Developer Jordan Mechner stumbled across 3.5-inch floppy disks that contained the source code for the game for the Apple II computer. His father, who created the music for the game, had discovered them in a box when he was tidying up the house.
