“G&G” Awards 2024 – Stress is the “Face of the Year” – News

The editorial team of “Faces & Stories” presented the “G&G” Awards for the third time. Exciting personalities from the past year were honored in four categories. In addition, the “Face of the Year” was chosen from the twelve nominees.

“Face of the Year 2023”

The editorial team of “Faces & Stories”, together with the readers and viewers, chose the rapper Andres Andrekson alias Stress as “Face of the Year”. He has been on stage for two decades, but 2023 was a special year for the musician. He was allowed to play two “MTV Unplugged” concerts – the first Swiss person after Patent Ochsner. An honor that he is happy to share with other music greats: The 46-year-old brought Noah Veraguth, EAZ and Stefanie Heinzmann on stage for the performances, thanking the Swiss music scene for his success.

Category “border commuter” or “cross-border commuter”

The duo Mona Vetsch and Tom Gisler are honored as “Border Crosser of the Year”. The two SRF faces will take the step from the radio microphone to the theater stage in 2023. With the program “In Middle Ages” the two mid-forties break the taboo topic of getting older. They share their worries and fears and thereby encourage their generation.

Mona Vetsch and Tom Gisler prevailed against the Tibetan mantra singer Dechen Shak and the author Berta Thurnherr.

Category “Encourager” or “Encourager”

Former ice hockey professional Kevin Lötscher wins the title of “Encourager of the Year”. Accident, end of career, depression: In 2011, the 35-year-old’s life was completely thrown off course. Nine years later, he no longer struggles with his fate but tells the public his story. And in doing so, it encourages people who have experienced a similar fate.

Kevin Lötscher prevailed against sports presenter Olivier Borer and animal rights activist Susy Utzinger.

Category “go-getter” or “go-getter”

The “stars of the year 2023” will be Maja Zivadinovic, Gülsha Adilji and Yvonne Eisenring. For two years, the three journalists have been gossiping together in their podcast “Zivadiliring” about topics that life writes. In 2023, the friends are getting off to a flying start: their podcast wins the “Swiss Podcast Award” in the “Entertainment” category and their live performances across Switzerland take place in front of sold-out crowds.

The trio prevailed against the girl band Mixed Flames and the chef and food influencer Noah Bachofen.

“Perennial favorite” category

Singer and actress Maja Brunner bears the title “Perennial favorite of the year 2023”. In 1991 she won a World Music Award as the most popular singer in Switzerland, and in 2018 she won a Prix Walo. Maja Brunner has become an integral part of the Swiss stage. She has been the head and heart of Lachner’s Christmas magic for 16 years, and in 2023 she will be on stage for the third time in Erich Vock’s Schwank “Stägeliuf, Stägeli ab”. A long-running singer who, even at the age of 72, continues to make the Swiss entertainment sky shine.

Maja Brunner prevailed against the cabaret artist Regula Esposito alias Helga Schneider and the musician Stress.
