Ghislaine Maxwell: The Epstein confidante is said to have a husband

In the case of Ghislaine Maxwell, who is on trial, new details come to light. The Epstein confidante apparently has a husband.

The Ghislaine Maxwell case is becoming increasingly suspicious. At the first hearing of former confidante Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019) on Tuesday, it appeared that the 58-year-old should be married. During the plea by prosecutor Alison Moe, the subject of the accused's marital status was raised: "The accused does not disclose the financial situation or the assets of her spouse," the prosecutor is quoted by the New York Post, among others. Who is Maxwell's supposed husband? The 58-year-old is silent about this.

According to Moes, Maxwell refused to disclose the identity of her alleged husband to the investigative authorities. The prosecutor did not provide any information about how long the former Epstein confidante had been married.

Ghislaine Maxwell is accused of this

Maxwell was arrested by the FBI on July 2 in New Hampshire. Since then she has been in a prison in New York and attended her hearing via video. She is accused of helping Epstein, who has since died, of abusing underage girls. In several cases, the 58-year-old is also believed to have been involved in the abuse. In total, six trials have brought her to trial. Maxwell denies all allegations and pleads "not guilty".
