Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is a real success on Steam, it does better than God of War!

When Sony brings its games to PC, it’s a bit haphazard. Some titles are immediately hugely successful, while others quickly end up in limbo. Returnal, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart or Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection struggled to bring the players together, which was not the case for God of War And Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition.

By putting aside Helldiverse 2 with its 458,709 players simultaneously, released at the same time on PC and PS5, it is God of War (2018) which had the attendance record on Steam so far, bringing together more than 73,500 players at the same time. For a port of a four year old game, it was impressive! But now he has just been dethroned by Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, launched last week and has already attracted 77,154 players simultaneouslyaccording to SteamDB. The game is more recent (2020 on PS4).

The controversies surrounding its release have obviously not affected the hype players, who rushed over. However, we will have to wait for an official statement from Sony to know the sales figuresbut, for comparison, God of War came close to a million copies sold four months after its release on Steam. In any case, Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut already seems to be a commercial and critical success, the evaluations are “very positive”.
