Ghost Recon Frontline would be a carbon copy of Warzone

While Ubisoft’s newest game in the Battle Royale genre, Ghost Recon: Frontline has yet to be released, leaks are already claiming that the game is extremely similar to Warzone, only less so.

Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon franchise has seen many transformations over the past decade, with games such as Wildlands and Breakpoint marking new chapters for the future of the series.

And today, the studio is taking on the Battle Royale genre once again with Ghost Recon: Frontline.

As the closed beta that will give players their first look at the game is fast approaching, the first images of it have started to leak, and they don’t seem to be thrilling players.

Frontline would be a “carbon copy of Warzone”

Ghost Recon: Frontline hasn’t been officially introduced to gamers yet, but people like Tom Henderson have had the chance to glimpse the latest creation from Ubisoft, and the first reactions are not really positive.

Tom Henderson recently said: “Early reports suggest that the Ghost Recon: Frontline closed beta is a carbon copy of Warzone in many areas. Similar animations, similar sounds and much more, in short nothing innovative.

In addition to Tom Henderson, Reddit user Parzalai has also been “lucky” to dive into Frontline, and his review of the game is honest to say the least: “The game looks like poop and runs like trash on a 30-series board.

The Redditor went on to talk about the quality of the game universe: “The maps are weirdly designed, I hear gunfire everywhere, but I can’t face an enemy or just get shot in the map.

The weapons apparently aren’t up to snuff either, because “the recoil is similar to CSGO, only worse… The animations are bad and the game feels like an indie game.

It is clear that all these feedbacks give a very bad opinion of the game. However, they are based on a beta version of the game and some of these criticized elements could well evolve positively until the official release.

At this time, Ubisoft has yet to set a concrete release date for Ghost Recon: Frontline.
