With nearly 80,000 entries, “Ghostbusters – The Ice Menace” takes the lead among new releases for April 10. In front of “We, the Leroys” and “The Curse of Origin”.

To have fun this Wednesday, April 10, spectators called on the team of Ghostbusters. The Ice Menace, a new opus in the saga which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, takes the lead in the new releases of the week. Well helped by the previews, which represent more than half of its score, certainly. But the result would have been the same without it.
Gil Kenan’s feature film, starring Paul Rudd, McKenna Grace, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, even manages to do better than its predecessor. Which was released in December 2021 in our theaters, while the situation remained complicated in cinemas, entry to which was subject to the presentation of a health pass.
The Ice Menace can therefore hope to surpass the score of L’Héritage (620,023 entries), and it is ahead of the big winner of the last Alpe d’Huez Festival: We, the Leroys, first production by Florent Bernard, aka FloBer. Which also took advantage of the previews, to start a little below 50,000 admissions, but with an average per copy close to that of Ghostbusters (112 against 119).
If word of mouth follows, the Grand Prix of the Alpe d’Huez Comedy Festival 2024 can hope to take advantage of the holidays to achieve a nice score, while a surprise completes the podium. Because it’s not the animated film Raiders of Noah’s Ark that we find on the third step, nor the biopic Rosalie. But The Curse the origin.
Yes, a horror film prohibited for under 16s.
